Mindfulness Training and Coaching Grounded in Scientific Research
Dr Caroline Horwath tailors mindfulness-based wellbeing programmes to the specific requirements of organizations, groups and individuals.
Caroline has taught mindfulness-based wellbeing and stress reduction programmes since 2006, and has personal experience practicing mindfulness since 1998. Her programmes, inspired by those developed at Massachusetts Medical School (by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn) and Harvard Medical School (Professor Herbert Benson), have been carefully evaluated and have shown substantial improvements in wellbeing. These include reductions in stress, anxiety and depression levels, as well as reductions in tiredness, insomnia, headaches and pain.
Caroline combines private practice with a part-time Associate Professor appointment at Otago University. She has over 25 years research experience in the fields of lifestyle change and health promotion, and 10 years experience teaching mindfulness courses and workshops for both the general public and organisations.
Dr Caroline Horwath's extensive scientific expertise and depth of experience and understanding of mindfulness and mind-body medicine enable her to facilitate highly effective lifestyle change programmes that integrate the science and art of enhancing wellbeing.
